Kick-Ass (2010)

Kick-Ass is a superhero black comedy film directed by Matthew Vaughn, based on the comic book by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. The story follows Dave Lizewski, an ordinary high school student and comic book fan who decides to become a real-life superhero despite having no powers, training, or meaningful reason to do so. Donning a green and yellow costume, he becomes Kick-Ass and attempts to fight crime. He soon gets caught up in a bigger battle when he meets Big Daddy, a former cop seeking revenge against crime boss Frank D'Amico, and his daughter Hit-Girl, a ruthlessly trained 11-year-old vigilante. The film combines hilarious comedy with graphic, stylized violence, pushing the boundaries of the superhero genre with its dark humor and extreme action sequences.
